Collection’s Highlight: 18th Century Silk Vest
This is one of two 18th century vests in our collection. This one is silk with cut velvet figures of leaves, vines and roses. I did not have a picture of the back, but someone decided to expand the back by cutting open the center seam and crudely adding a brown felt gussett that does not even long enough for the vest. Its rather unseamly.
